Meet Aaron: Steel Guitarist with a Love for Music and History
Aaron shares the timeless sound of the steel guitar, including the acoustic resonator (dobro), lap steel, and pedal steel guitar. Aaron is a performer and a preservationist of the steel guitar sound that has shaped American music.
Audiences of all ages will recognize the unique sound of the steel guitar: the opening swoop in Looney Tunes, the iconic melody of Johnny and Santo’s Sleepwalk, and the quirky tunes of SpongeBob SquarePants. Beyond pop culture, the steel guitar was foundational to Hawaiian music, country, and blues - styles that Aaron showcases in his performances.
