Aaron Brownwood is a San Diego–based steel guitarist, performer, and instructor specializing in vintage Hawaiian, western swing, classic country, and Americana music. He performs throughout southern California at resorts, private events, weddings, restaurants, Polynesian cultural events, and tiki venues, bringing the distinctive (and often forgotten) sound of the steel guitar to a wide variety of audiences. Whether providing elegant background music for a resort, authentic Hawaiian steel for a luau, or classic country and western swing for a lively dance crowd, Aaron tailors his performances to the venue and audience.

A lifelong student of music, Aaron has over 20 years of experience playing the steel guitar. He has collaborated with more than 40 bands and artists, contributed to dozens of professional recording projects, and taught students of all ages and musical backgrounds. He also enjoys presenting educational lectures and demonstrations on the history and traditions of the steel guitar, helping new audiences discover the beauty of this instrument.
